I have decided that Palin should run in 2012. She is an engaging personality, smart, funny, and, yes, a babe. But the underlying fact is this: the election has been over for three weeks. The militant leftists are STILL attacking Sarah. Why is she such a threat to them?
I'll tell you why. Most of the Republican party and nearly all of the Religious Right love her. She is a powerhouse and is worth watching. The Republicans lost because of McCain, not because of Sara Palin. McCain's campaign was in the dumpster until they introduced Palin as his running mate. When they did that, there was an upsurge in enthusiasm, and people like me voted for McCain, simply to get Palin in the White House.
Sara has more charm than Bill Clinton. She seems to charm many in even the media. True, Ted Turner and CNN (Clinton News Network) hate her, and try to focus their attacks on blogger mischief, stories, and fantasy, rather than actual fact.
The fact is, that not half of the stories about her in the media were true. They appear to have been based on misperception ( aka: misleading, a Biden specialty), disinformation (a Democrat specialty), and rumor (a specialty of every blogger without a job and too much time on their hands).
But here's the rub; I listen to "progressive" radio, and Thom Hartman, Mike Malloy, and other poisonous cretins like them, have repeatedly stated that Republicans should die, and that they would not stop until all Republicans and Conservatives are dead or converted. Sara Palin is who they attack the most, and by deduction that is where the threat to them lays. NOTE: For represenatives of the "people party" you think they would jump at ther chance to show how much better they are than the Conservatives, by giving everyone a voice, but they don't. When Conservatives call in, they interrupt, yell, call them names. attempt to intimidate them, and act generally like my ex-wife's lawyer.
If the Republicans are smart they will begin building on Sara, and let her lead. The Republicans have been lost in the desert for 6 years now, and Sara is our Moses.
Lead us Sara, and show us the way home.

THE BIG RED BEAR GARAGE SALE
Has anyone noticed that every tin-plate dictator with delusions of godhood buys their military crap from Russia? The last really good thing the Russians made was the Soviet T-72 tank. Oh, sure, they made the AK-47 spray and pray, but popular dosen't mean good...it just means popular...and cheap.
But if the Russians were really interested in peace, as they say they are, why don't they climb aboard and stop selling to dictators who starve their people (North Korea), murder their people (Saddam Hussein), and commit other atrocities against the human race (China). I mean instead of making weapons, couldn't they make widgets or something? Don't mistake me, I'm not being hypocritical here. We need to stop arming the other side too, except our really great friends England (who has their own weapons) and Israel ( who has the Musaad in EVERY government in the world and tells us things). People have been trying to wipe out Israel for centuries, and have always failed, but I'll leave that for another blog. For now, back to the evil empire.
Russsia is a very rich nation and they could be wallowing in wealth beyond that of the United States, if they would just put their efforts into exploiting that wealth. Siberia, it is thought, could hold trillions of roubles in diamonds, gold, and silver. It is believed that Siberia's wealth could surpass by miles the wealth in the Alaskan artic.
Russia is also rich in oil. That alone would bring the J.R. Ewings of the world in droves.
Russia has good land and could export agriculture. Russia is 4X the size of the U.S. We are the #1 exporter of food. Russia is #2. By putting good ideas into practice, Russia could get rich on feeding people alone.
Russia could work a bit harder on tourism, instead of telling people they can see the gulog and red square, tell them about something else that might be nice.
Russia could improve on education and, over the long haul, this may help spike their economy. The kids could learn info-technology instead of firing range safety rules.
With the money they make they could pay their military, and then maybe military draftin would no longer be necessary. The principal here is, if they are in your military, you should pay them. Russian youth, may less and less be willing to serve just for "Mother Russia".

CHRISTMAS CHEER?
Go back in time with me. the year is 1000 A.D. There is a great Christmas feast. Stuffed Pike, fried Dolphin, chicken, ham, turkey, stuffed goose, great cornicopias of vegetables and fruit. After the feast and merriment, we will go outside and watch the kinghts joust, and play games. Christmas is wonderful.
The year is now 1400A.D. and Christmas is illegal. In the past, along with the merriment and feasting, Christmas became persona non grata. There were fights. Arson. Theft. There were even riots. Church leaders became impatient with Christmas, and then intolerant of it. They got Christmas celebrations banned. Violation could result from a simple fine to death.
Move forward with me. Here sits a little man. He is holding a quill pen and is seated at a small table. The paper he writes on is illuminated by a small candle. The man is writing a story. The story would eventually become famous. The story was about Christmas,(a serious infraction of the law), but his story made it clear that only a changed heart could understand and apperciate Christmas. The story would make Christmas legal again. The man's name is Charles Dickens, and the story he wrote was "A Christmas Carol".
Fast forward again. it is 2008, at a Wal-mart in New York. It is the wee hours, and a crowd is restless. They break the door of the store, because they want to shop. One person is injured. One person is trampled to death.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just those people, but anyone who loses the spirit of the season because of a good sale. Your selfishness and greed demean you. How dare you take a holiday that is meant to bring us together, and run it down to how much you can spend, and if you can beat somebody else to the candy canes? Of all the unmitigated gall!!!
If you don't get the great stuff, are you going to lose your family? I think not. Will your child soar into great bouts of depression, because she didn't get the latest Bratz doll? No. Will the world end, because someone got the last big screen tv? I doubt it.
Do we need to wait until Christmas is illegal again, before we realize what the day is all about? Will we see it too late?
HOW MANY MORE MUST DIE FOR YOUR GREED???
How long until another Charles Dickens comes along and teaches us all a lesson?

PROTEST FOR GAY RIGHTS
O.k. so now that the protests are over, I can say it. I was completely UNIMPRESSED by the California gay rights protest.
So, like, let's say for the sake of arguement, that I live in L.A., and that I am in favor of, and voted for gay rights. The payment for my vote is being held up for hours in traffic, while homosexuals hold signs, and George Takei and his ...whatever, get on t.v. and make Star Trekken references to their "marriage". So in essence what I get for my "yes" vote is to come home to my pot roast, late, 4 nights in a row. Not exactly what I wanted. In fact, if the thing came up for a vote again, I'd vote "no", just to tick you off and pay you back for inconviencing me.
So anyway, the people voted no on Prop 8. Get over it. This is NOT a civil rights issue. There is NO proof that you are born homosexual; in fact, the success of programs like Project Exodus prove that homosexuality is a choice. If there were proof you are born homosexual, then this would be a civil rights issue.
So the homosexuals succomb to the will of the people.
I don't think so.
What do they do? Circumvent the people's vote, by taking the issue to court, and having some gay activist judge say gay marriage should be allowed. This way the homosexuals can ram their ideas through, and all that matters is what one person says.
It's like children. If Mom says no, go talk to Dad.
Next we blame it on someone. Hmmmmm. Who can we blame for this? GOT IT!!! We'll blame Christians, and the right wing of the Republican party!!!! The perfect scapegoats!!
It had to be all the money that was spent against Prop 8, that shot it down, not that the idea of gay marriage isn't as accepted as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance says it is.
Tsk, tsk. Christians, and Republicans. While we are at it, we'll throw in the Roman Catholics as well. And Ann Coulter (get better Ann!!!). How about we also blame Blue Dog Democrats, as they aren't left enough.
When homosexuals let the chips fall, as the people vote, and stop being militant, we'll talk. Until then...

AIG EXEC SLASHES SALARY TO $1 A YEAR FOR TWO YEARS
So what? Does this sound contrite to you? Does this sound like some sort of pennance? It dosn't to me. So he gets a dollar a year. So what? How much was his bonus for the last three years? I bet he can make his basic bills on that (sarcasm).
If they really want to seem contrite and offer pennance, let them give back half the pay and ALL bonuses they recieved for the last three years.
What really busts my buttons is the fact that they believe the American public will buy this bilge, and forgive them for ruining us. Then we can get the free money, and line our pockets again.
Actually, we should let them keep all their money, as they buy lots of expensive wine and champagine, and this helps employ low wage grape crushers in foreign countries. This helps us unite globally, because they can use that to help lower the trade deficit. Who needs to sell confidence and great service, when you can employ flat-footed grape smashers??

MR. OBAMA, TAKE GOVERNOR DOYLE WITH YOU...PLEEEEEEEEASE???
Dear Mr. President,
I would like to take this opportunity to congradulate you on a battle for the White House, that you won fair and square. Though I didn't vote for you, I hope your Presidency is fruitful, and charmed with success. I truly do.
I hope, Mr. President, that you will accept the following reccomendation:
Take Gov. Doyle with you and give him a job doing ANYTHING other than being in charge of the State of Wisconsin.
Mr. Doyle is enthusiastic about taxes, and an absolute ZEALOT about taxing cigarettes and trying to legislate his morality and choices into law. I fail to understand, though his total lack of tax hikes on alcohol. Considering my arguments to him FOR tax on alcohol, (liver disease, domestic abuse, drunk driving, arrest, lawyers, court time, and addiction), you would think he would go for the money, and raise alcohol tax. But he is being unreasonable as always.
This complaint is akin to the time he raised the state sales tax, and said "What's the big deal? It's only 1/2 of a percent."
The big deal is that we the people didn't get a 1/2 percent salary increase. Mr Doyle either didn't understand, or didn't care.
Truly, Mr. President, the taxes that Mr. Doyle levies, are tremendous. For those of us that are working poor, it sometimes feels it would be kinder to stake us down, and leave us to the frickin' crows.
Mr. Doyle also refuses to see the UNDENIABLE evidence that the school voucher system in Milwaukee works, and that the competition between public and private schools in that area, has raised the educational bar. But, Mr. Doyle won't allow the expansion to all Wisconsin families, because, God forbid, that a single dollar of state money go to a Catholic school. Clearly the ficticious "seperation of church and state" (sorry, it's not in the Constitution) is more important than the education of Wisconsin children.
The list is longer, Mr. President, MUCH, MUCH longer, but you get the drift.
Please take Mr. Doyle to Washington, and let him mess up the rest of America, like he did Wisconsin. After all, misery loves company.
Yours respectfully,
JACK

MY BAIL-OUT PLAN
EEEEEEK!! THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!!
So, now Citi Corp has come to the public feed trough. "Give us money!" they cry. So we do.
Has anyone asked what we get in return? Does the American public get low interest rate loans, or free mints when we open an account?
The big three auto makers came and asked for money. Are they going to sell us the cars cheaper, or give us all free XM radios for our investment if they get bailed out by the American people?
How about this? We instutiute a law that if your busuness makes over 500 million a year GROSS, the government places a portion (say 20%) of your business' money in a slush fund as "government insurance" to help bail you out if you become addled, and make loans to people with poor credit, illegal aliens, or members of the House of Represenatives (eg bad check scandals of the 1980's).
If you go twenty years without needing a bail-out and you prove you are still financially sound, you can get a rebate for half of the money you paid in, in the preceeding twenty years.
Why is this s hard to figure out? I kind of get a kick out of watching financiers walking around dazed, and saucer-eyed, looking like they have been hit on the head with a mallet, wondering what their mistake was.
"I can't believe that just because we spent money like drunken sailors, and made really bad loans to anyone that wanted one, we are in financial trouble!"
What? You expected the illegal alien, who broke the law to come here, to be good for a $100,000 loan? I don't think a loan shark would take those shaky odds, and they have a really good incentive to repay-broken knee caps.
You know, this is akin to someone winding up in the hospital after being in a 140 mph crash, and wondering, why they had an accident.
Yes, we can just keep injecting money so we can ensure AIG executives can go on more hunting trips, but how soon until the American people run out of cash, and we wind up bailing out the people we owe money to?
Evil Banker: "Gimmie free money!"
Us: "Ok here."
Evil Banker: "Good. Now, about your mortgage payment..."
